This role is for an experienced Corporate Affairs professional who is looking for a new strategic challenge in public affairs and the chance to shape the firm’s evolving Corporate Affairs agenda. The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day running of Public Affairs in Southern Africa with Africa-wide responsibilities in some respects as explained in the detailed job description.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Public Affairs to develop and deliver an annual Public Affairs strategy, in line with the firm’s Corporate Affairs strategy.
• Scanning of issues in the different markets related significant regulatory, political and socio-economic trends impacting professional services and KPMG.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the firm’s public affairs and stakeholder environment including the alumni.
• Identify emerging public policy and stakeholder challenges and opportunities.
• Create and maintain connections with governmental, business associations and professional bodies, key investor groups, corporate executive groups, and other relevant stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications/public affairs, Social Sciences, or a related field.
